The story of Oliver the Orangutan

Once there was this orangutan called Oliver the Orangutan and he was a super special orangutan because he had the ability to catch rainbows and swing from them and slide down them and have fun on them. He was the only ‘forest man’ that could catch a rainbow because when all the other ‘forest men’ tried to catch them the rainbows would be too fast and runaway and hide when their pursuers got to near. One time when Oliver was a swinging from a rainbow the rainbow rocketed up into the sky and Oliver was in mortal danger because he was so high up in the air but then the rainbow came back down to earth and Oliver jumped off into a tree and he was once again safe. That’s the story of Oliver the Orangutan.

I’ve been busy making a bunch of art for this year’s Sydney @bigdesignmarket.
.
It’s on next weekend and for it I’ve created a ‘funky-monkey-icecream-fruity-rainbow-jungle-in-the-clouds’ themed extravaganza for the kids activities area at The Big Design Market. Pose with ice-cream wielding monkey’s on pink unicorns in the colourful photo booths, get busy with free art activities or chill out in the beanbag area created by @mybeanabout.
I’ll also have a booth selling all my merchandise. See ya there! 😎

Me and my buddy Shane the Orangutan down at Wollongong Uni!

The story of Shane the Orangutan

Once there was this orangutan dude called Shane and he had the reddest most vibrant hair out of all the orangutans in his village. Some say it was because when he was a foetus his mum had mad crazy cravings for beetroots and ate heaps of them and thus he was born with the reddest hair ever. One time when he was swinging through the trees with his buddies he fell down and broke his left leg and then his buddies called the ambulance and as he was being carried away on the stretcher by the ambos he said “Peace my homies” and his buds thought he was really cool dude.

The End

Cheers Wollongong Uni for the invite and @bueno.catlow for helping with the painting.

Hey it’s world beard day! Happy world beard day to you and your beard! I hope your having a great day with your beard and you’ve had a lovely day together, maybe you took your beard out for brekkie or maybe you’re going out for a nice dinner tonight, whatever you do have a great time in the company of your beard. Beards are great.
An Ode to  Bee Beard Bertie
Bee Beard Bertie was a bushy bearded man
He had bees in his beard who had flowers in their hands

From his beard he also had flowers growing strong
The flowers would grow the more his beard grew long

And the more flowers that grew the more bees came to nest
Till the depths of his beard was a hive full of natures best

He feasted upon honey for breakfast, lunch and tea
Golden goodness from his beard but made by a bee

It was the circle of honey made up of bees, flowers and his beard
He master plan was working and all the bees cheered

The End

Camp Flamingo mural for Acheive Australia at their Summer Hill place.

The story of Camp Flamingo
Once upon a time in the jungles of Peru there was a summer camp called camp flamingo and it’s where all the flamingo’s went on summer camp and they had heaps of fun and did fun activities like going on waterslides and having food fights and having bonfires and roasting marshmallows and having sing-alongs by the camp fire and stuff. The boss of the camp was called Naomi the Flamingo and she was heaps good at juggling chainsaws.

Wendy the whale was known for always striving for her personal best, whether it be doing a new variation of the flip or juggling dolphins for her side show act called ‘Wendy and Warren doing flips and stuff’ she always did her PB and that’s all anyone can really ask for.

In other news I’ll have a market stall at the Cronulla Spring Festival happening this weekend!

Wexley the Whale as the manager of the “Wendy and Warren doing flips and stuff’ act was indeed a responsible whale.

Wexley the whale was a very respectful whale. See my previous posts for the full story about Wexley the whale and the other whales in this mural at Beauty Point Public School.

The undersea whale themed mural I painted with the students at Beauty Point Public School. It heavily features two humpbacks and a southern right whale who often travel past Sydney in their aquatic adventures. Here’s a story about them:

The story of Wexley, Warren and Wendy the Whales

Once there was two whales called Warren and Wendy who were brother and sister and they were well known for their sideshow acrobatic act that they performed at fairs and festivals all around the state. Their act was called ‘Warren and Wendy doing flips and stuff’ and they did indeed do flips and other acrobatic feats like cartwheels and roly-polys and headstands and other tricky stuff like that.

They were moderately successful but should have had a lot more success and then they met Wexley who became their manager and he was heaps good at internet marketing and negotiating so they became heaps more successful and started booking corporate gigs and other lucrative opportunities and everything went pretty much swimmingly from then on in.

The End.
Cheers to Karl, Janelle and the school community for hosting me. A couple of times when I was painting I heard clapping and when I turned around there was a group of students giving me a clap. Quite nice of them.
