An Ode to Captain Anchors Ahoy

Captain Anchors Ahoy was a groovy chap
Never seen without his trusty captain’s hat

He was buds with seagulls and dolphins alike
Some of them swam and some did fly

Sometimes his ship he’d anchor in bays so calm
And once in a while his anchor would come to harm

Everytime he lost an anchor to some old reef
In his beard one would emerge as a sign of his grief
As time wore on, his beard grew quite heavy
Cause anchors are weighty like a glass bottle bevvy

He’d tell you himself that airports were tough
The metal detectors always treated him rough

But one thing is true for an anchor beard man
Swimmings out of the question unless there’s a beard floatation plan

The End
