When Landcom invited Mulga to run a custom art workshop at Wilton Public School as part of their Panorama Art Workshop series, he was stoked to jump on board. The brief? Ask students to dream big - design their ultimate house and imagine their ideal community. It was extra special for Mulga to be back at Wilton Public School, having previously painted three murals there.
'Landcom invited renowned Sydney artist Mulga to deliver an inspiring art workshop at Wilton Public school. Mulga regaled the room with stories from his globetrotting career before teaching students his signature art style - colourful and zany scenes inspired by summer, nature and animals. After learning the essentials, students were encouraged to let their creativity loose. From ice cream shops and footy fields to pools and parks, students drew the things they value in their community - places to hang out, connect with nature and each other, express themselves and feel joy.'
