It was radical to return to the best kindy in town aka Lilli Pilli Kindy to give their front façade a full Mulga makeover. As a Sydney-based mural artist, Mulga loves creating colourful, custom artwork for schools and early learning centres - and this project was an absolute treat.
Mulga painted a mural in the backyard last year, so it felt extra special to come back and splash some fresh colour on the front of the kindy too. Transforming both the playground and entrance areas has helped create a cohesive, welcoming environment for families arriving each day.
This mural features a cheeky galah and a mischievous possum chilling in the treetops, smashing ice creams like absolute legends. There is also a big frog rocking a boom box, a butterfly and a ladybug dancing - basically the funnest crew to greet the kids every morning.
Mulga wanted to create something bright, welcoming and bursting with good vibes - a mural that makes kids (and parents!) smile the moment they arrive.
