Mulga the Artist Creates Colourful School Mural at Oyster Bay Public School
A vibrant new school mural by Mulga the Artist has transformed the walls of Oyster Bay Public School, turning the playground into a fun and welcoming creative space. This school art project features Mulga’s signature style - bright colours, quirky characters, and playful storytelling - making it a standout piece of Australian street art.
As part of the mural project, Mulga also ran school art workshops with students, giving them the chance to learn directly from one of Australia’s best-known mural artists. The workshops added a hands-on creative experience that students and teachers are still buzzing about.
The mural is packed with unique Australian characters that reflect the school’s community spirit: sunglass-wearing mangroves, oysters surfing and canoeing, the beloved Georges River Tigers soccer mascot, and even moustachioed mudcrabs enjoying ice creams. Each character brings energy and personality to the space, creating a colourful environment that inspires creativity every day.
This Mulga school mural is more than just artwork - it’s a celebration of imagination, local identity, and the power of creativity in education.
