Mulga painted this street art mural of 'Jonno Kong - King of the Park' in Johnson Park, Dulwich Hill for the Inner West Council.
The Council commissioned Mulga through 'Perfect Match', a program matching artists with community to collaboratively produce site specific street art.
The brief was to make it funky, fun and colourful with references to the park and local area. The mural features one of Mulga's signature gorilla kong characters wearing a bucket hat showing the games played in the park. The Kong's shirt features the local rogue foxes and chickens that frequent the park. And Graham the kookaburra sitting on Jonno Kongs shoulder is in reference to the local Australian birds that call the park home.
Mulga has been involved in multiple Perfect Match installations with a variety of councils across Sydney, it is always a fun project collaborating with the local community and enlivening suburban areas with colourful fun street art.
